How Much Money Is Brooks Donating?

Brooks will donate 6.25% of the suggested retail price for each Brooks For Her item sold from March 1, 2009, to December 31, 2009, to preselected charities that support breast cancer research, awareness, and support. Consumers will vote for which charity they’d like to receive donation. Upon program completion, monetary appropriations will be doled out to all organizations in an amount relative to the percentage of votes each receives.

How The Voting Works

Voting will take place from March 1, 2009, to December 31, 2009. Once the virtual ballot boxes close, Brooks will tally votes and give each organization a percentage of the total Brooks For Her donation equal to the percentage of votes it received during the life of the program. For example, if Organization A receives 30% of consumers’ votes, it would receive 30% of the dollar amount garnered from the 6.25% of Brooks For Her collection sales (at suggested retail price). If $30,000 is raised, Organization A would receive $9,000. No purchase necessary to vote.
